Two-Ton Cheese Sculpture to be Revealed
“The Cheese Lady,” Sarah Kaufmann, will be back in action this year as she carves a two-ton block of cheese. Kaufmann will spend the first five days of the fair sculpting inside of a special refrigerator unit. The finished work will be unveiled today at noon in the DuPont Food Pavilion and will be on display for the remainder of the fair from 9 a.m. to 9
Sponsored by the American Dairy Association of Indiana, Kaufmann has extensive sculpting experience with work appearing in American Dairy Association national promotional campaigns, as celebrity busts and at numerous national events. After the fair the giant sculpture will be donated to be converted to energy. Food waste can be used to generate renewable energy.
