ConAgra Foods, Omaha, Neb., in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is voluntarily recalling a limited number of packages of its Andy Capp’s Hot Fries flavor product that may contain the Andy Capp’s Cheddar Fries flavor, and, therefore, an undeclared allergen—soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. There have been no illnesses reported to date in connection with this product.
The product was shipped to retail food distributors in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania for distribution to retail stores in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
The affected product, Andy Capp’s Hot Fries, is packaged in .85-ounce blue poly bags with an Andy Capp’s graphic logo and picture of the hot fries product on the front panel. This voluntary recall is limited only to packages of Andy Capp’s Hot Fries bearing the following UPC and Sell By date. No other Andy Capp’s products are affected.

In the event that consumers who have purchased this product believe they may be impacted by the undeclared soy allergen, they should return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. Consumers with questions about this issue may call 866-518-4177. This product is a food safety concern only for people who are allergic to soy.
ConAgra Foods is also issuing an alert through the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) in an effort to notify any potentially impacted consumers.
