The 500 Festival Board of Directors recently elected its 2013-2014 officers and welcomed five new civic leaders to serve on its board.
NEWLY-ELECTED OFFICERS
- Chairman of the Board: John A. Crisp, Senior Managing Director/Principal, Cassidy Turley
- Vice Chairman of the Board: Gary Aletto, Chief Operating Officer, Bright Sheet Metal Company, Inc.
- Secretary: Paul Sinclair, Partner, Ice Miller
John Crisp is the Senior Managing Director/Principal at Cassidy Turley and specializes in tenant representation and corporate advisory services. He has been named overall Top Producer of the Cassidy Turley Indianapolis Office Division multiple times, and recently earned the prestigious 4 Cornerstones of Commitment Award for his outstanding civic involvement. His real estate career began in 1993 with F. C. Tucker Company’s Office Sales and Leasing Division. Prior to his 17 years with Cassidy Turley, Crisp worked with Browning Investments. Prior to being elected 500 Festival Chairman of the Board, Crisp’s 500 Festival service included chairing the Kids’ Day, Fundraising and Nominating Committees. He was a member of the 500 Festival Snakepit Ball, Memorial Service, Executive, Volunteer and Finance Committees as well. In addition, he has served on the Board of Advisors of Visit Indy, and as a President’s Council Advisor of Indiana Sports Corporation and board member of Stanley K. Lacy Advisory Council.
NEWLY-ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS
Doug Boles, President, Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Boles is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the facility, including the three major racing events, the Indianapolis 500, Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard and Red Bull Indianapolis GP. He also oversees exploring business opportunities for the Speedway.
Leslie Carter-Prall, Private Wealth Management Executive, Regions
Carter-Prall leads Regions’ Private Wealth Management team for the Indiana and Illinois area. She also serves on the board of directors and executive committee for Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, as well as the Little Red Door Cancer Agency. She is a Past President of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Alumni Association.
Larry Delia, President & General Manager, WTHR-13
Delia is the newly named President and General Manager of WTHR-13. He previously worked at Tribune’s WXIN-FOX/WTTV-CW. During that time he led the station’s growth in news, ratings and revenue. Prior to that, Delia was Vice President and General Manager of Tribune’s WPMT-FOX in Harrisburg, Pa.
Zach Scott, Ohio Valley District, UPS
Scott is a 30+ year UPS veteran and has assumed command as president of the company’s new and expanded Ohio Valley District, directing small package operations in an area that covers all or parts of four states –Kentucky, Indiana, southern Illinois and southwest Ohio.
Mike Strohl, Senior VP of Customer Relations and Corporate Affairs, Citizens Energy
Strohl oversees Customer Relationships for Citizens Energy, which includes Customer Service, Customer Billing, Revenue Assurance and Business to Business Relationships. Additionally, he is responsible for Corporate Affairs and Communications, as well as leading the Strategic Planning for Citizens.
