Peru, Ind. — Throughout this past weekend, the Indiana State Police Peru Post executed targeted patrols across the district to identify and apprehend dangerous and impaired drivers.
Key statistics from the weekend’s patrols include:
- 101 Traffic Stops
- 5 Arrests for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OWI)
- 2 Drug-Related Arrests
- 4 Driving While Suspended Prior/Operating Without Ever Receiving a License
- 1 Warrant Arrest
The Indiana State Police is unwavering in its commitment to promoting traffic safety. ISP will continue to conduct saturation patrols, a crucial part of our strategy to detect and apprehend impaired drivers. They request the public to play their part by prioritizing safety, whether designating a sober driver or using ride-sharing services when necessary.
