Michigan City– On December 12, 2024, a Michigan City man was arrested on charges of Possession of Child Pornography as a result of an investigation by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).
The arrest was the result of an investigation into numerous CyberTipline reports sent to the Indiana State Police ICAC Task Force from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tips ultimately led to a search warrant being served by the Indiana State Police, with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations, at a residence located in the 4000 block of Breckenridge Avenue, Michigan City, IN.
As a result of the investigation, Andrew Christian Crouch, 23, of Michigan City was arrested on three counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 5 Felony. Andrew Crouch was transported to the LaPorte County Jail and booked into custody.
The Indiana State Police was assisted by Homeland Security Investigations, LaPorte County Sheriff Warrant Division and Michigan City Prosecutor’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. The mug shot for Andrew Crouch is available by contacting the LaPorte County Jail.
The Indiana State Police oversees the ICAC Task Force, a multiagency task force that investigates allegations of using the internet to sexually exploit or entice children.
The ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to the National center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The NCMEC website can be accessed through the ICAC Task Force website.
