ISP Investigates Fatal Shooting in Linton

Linton, IN – The Indiana State Police Bloomington District launched a death investigation on Sunday evening, January 11th, after responding to a residence where two individuals, a male and a female, suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

Detectives from the Investigations Unit were called to the scene at approximately 9:14 p.m. in the area of 8th Street NW, following a request for assistance from the Linton Police Department. The Greene County Coroner’s Office and Crime Scene Investigators also assisted with the initial investigation.

The preliminary findings indicate that there is no threat to the community, according to the Indiana State Police. Autopsies are pending as the matter remains under investigation.
