FEMA Declaration Request for Bourbon Street Terrorist Attack

On Thursday, January 2, 2025, FEMA placed a major disaster declaration request for New Orleans, Louisiana due to the Bourbon Street Massacre terrorist attack on New Year’s Day.

FEMA has requested both Individual Assistance (IA), which provides grants and other aid to households, and Public Assistance (PA), which provides grants to state, county, and municipal governments.
