PERRY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces alternating lane closures for I-64 in Perry County.

Beginning on or around Monday, March 17, crews will close one lane of traffic in both directions on I-64 in Perry County. These lane closures will occur over Hurricane Creek, near Ferdinand.

Lane closures will allow for bridge preventative maintenance. Work is expected to last through the end of November, depending on the weather. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. plans to close South Wyandotte Cave Road over I-64 on or after Monday, March 10, to complete two bridge replacement projects in Crawford County.

The closure will take place just south of East Shafer Ridge Road over eastbound and westbound I-64 and is expected to be complete in early December, weather permitting. Shoulder closures will periodically be used on eastbound and westbound I-64 while bridge work is in progress.

Signage will be placed in the area prior to the start of construction. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour which uses S.R. 66 and S.R. 62.

This work is part of a $5.2 million contract awarded to E&B in December 2024. 

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
