HOWARD COUNTY, IN – On or after Thursday, March 13, contract crews will close lanes on State Road 931 for asphalt paving and median construction work in Kokomo. Crews will also complete guardrail and pipe replacements, and signal repairs.

Drivers can expect lane closures and possible flagging at intersections between the south junction of U.S. 31 and Markland Ave. for paving, and restrictions between State Road 26 and U.S. 35 for median construction through late June, weather permitting. 

Later this year, concrete pavement restoration is planned on U.S. 31 between the north and south junctions of S.R. 931, in addition to a structure replacement project approximately two miles south of State Road 18. Additional information about this work will be shared at a later date.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

HOWARD COUNTY, IN – On or after Monday, March 24, lane and shoulder closures will occur on U.S. 31 over C.R. 300 S./Center Road near Kokomo for retaining wall maintenance and repairs.

Motorists can also expect alternating lane closures with flagging operations on C.R. 300 S. for work under the overpass.

Weather permitting, lane closures are anticipated to continue through the end of April.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
