WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 56 over Goose Creek on or after Monday, June 23, to complete a bridge deck overlay project in Washington County.

The closure will take place between South Dog Trot Road and South Mill Creek Road located west of Salem.

Following this closure, an additional closure will take place on S.R. 56 over Mill Creek, also located between South Dog Trot Road and South Mill Creek Road. INDOT will provide additional information as work progresses.

Following both closures, S.R. 56 is expected to reopen in early August, weather permitting. During the closures, motorists should use the official detour which follows S.R. 337 to S.R. 37 to S.R. 60.

This work is part of a $3 million contract awarded to E&B in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 356 approximately three miles west of State Road 62 on or after Monday, May 12, to complete a pipe replacement project in Jefferson County.

The closure will take place between South Hunter Road and County Road West 350 South located between Lexington and Swanville. S.R. 356 is expected to reopen in mid-June, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows S.R. 203 to S.R. 56 to S.R. 62.

This work is part of a contract awarded to E&B in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependen,t and schedules are subject to change.

CLARK COUNTY / SCOTT COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that construction is anticipated to begin for Safer Drive 65 in late summer 2025. The Safer Drive 65 project will extend an added travel lane along northbound and southbound I-65 from the current end of a third lane in each direction near Blue Lick Road in Clark County.

After a multi-step procurement process, INDOT recently selected the design-build contractor E&B Paving, Inc. and Milestone Contractors Joint Venture for the project. Improvements include added travel lanes and pavement reconstruction from Blue Lick Road in Clark County to State Road 56 in Scott County. These improvements will enhance safety and improve mobility in the area.

The Safer Drive 65 project schedule is being finalized, but construction is anticipated to begin in late summer 2025 with completion currently scheduled for winter 2027.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. plans to close South Wyandotte Cave Road over I-64 on or after Monday, March 10, to complete two bridge replacement projects in Crawford County.

The closure will take place just south of East Shafer Ridge Road over eastbound and westbound I-64 and is expected to be complete in early December, weather permitting. Shoulder closures will periodically be used on eastbound and westbound I-64 while bridge work is in progress.

Signage will be placed in the area prior to the start of construction. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour which uses S.R. 66 and S.R. 62.

This work is part of a $5.2 million contract awarded to E&B in December 2024.
